If you are representing an institution which is interested in becoming a member of the UNESCO Associated Schools' Network (ASPnet), start with familiarizing yourself with UNESCO's mission and work and with the ASPnet's Strategy and activities. The ASPnet National Coordinator in your country or the National Commission for UNESCO can provide additional and country-specific information to you. Consult with your school community (principal, teaching and administrative staff, school board, student representatives, families) and seek their agreement and support.
The formal provision for a school entering the network establishes a two-stage process, namely (i) a national pre-selection and, upon recommendation of the National Coordinator, (ii) a review for formal admission and international certification by UNESCO. Under the overall guidance of UNESCO, countries have put in place different procedures for managing membership applications. Find out form the ASPnet National Coordinator in your country or the National Commission for UNESCO how the process is managed in your country.
The following step of your application process is to fill out the Expression of Interest Form below which will be automatically transmitted to your ASPnet National Coordinator. You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt and in due time, you will be informed about the results of the review and the next steps.
