COSTA RICA

Institución de formación docente a la que pertenece: Graduada de la Universidad de Costa Rica. Laboro actualmente en el colegio Yurusti Santo Domingo de Heredia.
Campo de interés: Soy graduada en Licenciatura  de Educación preescolar, y trabajo con preescolar, primaria y secundaria como Gestora Ambiental, realizando con ellos cápsulas educativas con temas alusivos al cuido del ambiente.
El interés es dar a conocer e implementar en el estudiantado a través de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, la Carta de la Tierra, los Derechos Humanos, y la sensibilización hacia una vida sostenible en valores y cuido de nuestros recursos ambientales, conocimientos que desde la práctica dentro del laboratorio vivo institucional, como se muestra en el video,  con trabajo comunal y servicio solidario, desarrollen en los niños y jóvenes una formación integral para ser ciudadanos justos y competentes, con sensibilidad y respeto hacia todo lo que habita en el planeta tierra, en el futuro .

My name is Laura Grillo, I am from Costa Rica. I speak from my perspective as general director of an educational center that trains children from preschool to high school. From my experience and the context in which I work, I can say that for learning and teaching to be truly transformative experiences, we need to see them from the values and attributes of a person with integrity, of a person capable of changing the world, of a person of solidarity. To the extent that we base all those experiences we deal with in the classroom with children and young people, on values, it will be a better world. It is important that when our children discover new things, we can always teach them to apply them to their daily lives. In this way it will be a very meaningful learning experience. And if, on top of that, it is values that encourage and guide our actions, it will be an ideal way to transform thinking, to transform our actions and for us to really be empathetic and in solidarity with the world: with our peers, with plants, with nature, with animals, with all living beings that share with us, this planet. 
 Values-based learning takes on real meaning for the learner"

Principal Professor of the discipline Linguistic and Literary Studies of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, Universidad de Oriente, methodological advisor to the Primary Teacher Training School, General Coordinator of the Faculty associated with UNESCO. Obtains the Distinction for Cuban Education (2001-2002), “José Tey” Medal (July, 2012), Exemplary Educator (2013-2019); Alma Mater Award. (2014-2015), Rector's Award in teaching-methodological work (2019).

FINLAND

Jussi Tomberg works with sustainability and SDG themes. He works as an advisory teacher for sustainability in the Educational and Cultural Services of Oulu, Finland. At the moment, he develops the sustainable path for education in Finland and supports UNESCO ASPNet schools with SDG themes. Mr Tomberg is the head of Finnish National UNESCO ASP network project. See (in Finnish) . Mr Tomberg has also worked as a biology and geography teacher in secondary and upper secondary schools, and as an in-service training educator.

My name is Lucy Kendi Mugambi from Kenya, a teacher educator at Murang'a Teachers Training College.
I have been preparing teacher trainees in professional learning areas, I'm also a patron of UNESCO-ASPnet club and executive committee member of Kenya teachers for peace.
With the club members we have been engaging in environmental conservation activities, outreach programmers of visiting the vulnerable in the society and organizing annual cultural days to celebrate our cultural diversity.

PHILIPPINES



Dr. ROWENA RATON-HIBANADA graduated Cum Laude in Secondary Educ. major in Social Science, from Philippine Normal University; MA in Values Education at University of Asia and the Pacific in 2012 and PhD in Education major in Educational Leadership and Management Program at De La Salle University Manila in 2017. She obtained a Certificate in Civic Education from University of Asia and the Pacific in 2008, all on full scholarship. She was Muntinlupa Outstanding Teacher (2004), Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Teacher of the Philippines (2008) Dangal ng Barangay sa Edukasyon Awardee (2009), Outstanding Citizen of Muntinlupa (2014), PNU Gawad Sulo for Eminent Alumni (2017), PNU Alumni Association Chapter Awardee ( 2018) and Outstanding UNESCO Educator of the Philippines (2019). A Fellow of UNESCO APCEIU Global Citizenship Education Trainers and ILEP-Fulbright Distinguished Awards for Interna-tional Leaders in Education Program in 2010. She worked at Pedro E Diaz High School, Alabang and DepEd Muntinlupa, from 1994 to 2015. She now serves as Assistant Professor at the Phil Normal University.
